Where the coast route ends

Kızılot marks the eastern edge of the Manavgat coast. Past it the district line falls and Alanya begins, which is why nobody boards after you: the coach that has been filling all morning is complete when it pulls away from your gate, carries on east along the coast, the whole Alanya belt still ahead of it before the mountain turn for the canyon. What the late slot is actually worth

Boarding last is the quiet advantage of staying at this end. The hotel restaurant has normally opened before you leave, so the morning break on the road out can be a coffee rather than a hurried meal, and you spend none of the day waiting at other resorts' gates. The trade is seating. By the time the vehicle reaches Kızılot the guests from the west have already settled, so a party of four will not always find four places together — board as one group and ask the guide before choosing a row.

The district line is next door

Okurcalar, the next resort east, belongs to the Alanya belt, and the canyon tours that collect there go out daily. This one does not. The Side departure keeps to Wednesdays and Sundays, and it does not cross the district line to collect anybody, so the daily service you can practically see from Kızılot is closed to you. If the rest of your week is spoken for, say so before you book rather than after — from this address the group day is a Wednesday or a Sunday, and the only other way to the canyon is a private vehicle on a date of your own, quoted per car on request.

The day from the eastern end
