Sapadere Canyon Tour from Side
A full day from the Side coast to the Taurus Mountains: about 110 km to the canyon, the wooden walkway, waterfalls and cold pools, lunch in the Alanya region — Wednesdays and Sundays, with pickup from Gündoğdu to Kızılot.
Sapadere Canyon is a long way from Side — about 110 km — which is exactly why this departure exists. Twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, an air-conditioned coach works its way along the Side coast from west to east: Gündoğdu first, then Çolaklı, Evrenseki, Kumköy, Side itself, Titreyengöl, Kızılağaç and Kızılot. The operator publishes a typical pickup time for each resort — the table is on this page — and confirms your own time the day before.
The coast road runs east past Alanya and into the Taurus foothills, with a comfort stop on the way where you can stretch your legs and buy a breakfast if you skipped the hotel's. At the canyon the guide takes the group onto the wooden walkway — about 750 m of timber and handrails above the river, between rock walls up to about 400 m high, with some steps and uneven sections — to the waterfalls and the cold, spring-fed pools at the end. A swim is optional. On the way out there is an optional stop at Cüceler Cave, the Dwarfs' Cave, ticket paid at the door.
A restaurant in the Alanya region feeds the group before the drive west begins, and that meal is in the price; you are back on the Side coast about 8 hours after the first pickup. The price is 35 € per adult and 23 € per child aged 4–10, infants up to 3 free; the canyon entrance ticket is paid at the gate and is not part of the price. Reserving is free — you pay on the day, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the canyon ticket included in the 35 €?
No — on the Side departure the Sapadere Canyon entrance ticket is paid at the gate and is not part of the tour price. The transfer, the guide, lunch and insurance are included.
Which days does the Side tour run?
Wednesdays and Sundays. The booking calendar only offers those days. From the Alanya belt the canyon tours run every day.
What time will I be collected?
The operator publishes a typical time per resort — from around 08:20 in Gündoğdu to around 09:50 in Kızılot — and confirms your exact time the day before. Treat the table as a guide, not a promise.
Is it a long day?
Yes: about 110 km each way and about 8 hours door to door, with a rest stop on the way out. The canyon walk itself is short; most of the day is the road and the water.
Do I pay anything now?
No. Reserving is free and no card is asked for. You pay 35 € per adult and 23 € per child aged 4–10 on the tour day, in euros; infants up to 3 are free. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Not into the canyon or onto the coach — the litter rule protects the water. Drinks are sold at the stops and at lunch, and breakfast is available at the rest stop.
