Sapadere Canyon Tour from Alanya
The classic canyon day: a wooden walkway above the river, waterfalls and cold turquoise pools, lunch by the water — with free hotel pickup from the Alanya resorts and no prepayment.
This is the page the rest of this site points to. In the morning an air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your hotel in the Alanya belt — in the 08:30–09:30 window, the exact time confirmed the day before — and the road turns away from the sea into the Taurus foothills. Villages, banana terraces and pine forest go past the window; the air cools as the road rises. The canyon lies east of Alanya, roughly 40–45 km from the centre depending on where you start.
At Sapadere the vehicle parks at the canyon entrance and the guide walks you onto the wooden walkway: about 750 m of timber and steel handrails hung above the river, between rock walls that rise up to about 400 m. It is easy walking — no hiking experience, no climbing — but there are steps and uneven sections, so shoes with grip matter. The walkway ends where the canyon narrows into a chain of waterfalls and natural pools. The water is spring-fed and cold all year; a swim is optional and, on a hot August day, the reason many guests came.
On the way out there is an optional stop at Cüceler Cave — the Dwarfs' Cave — a small lit chamber where the stalactites reach down towards the stalagmites under them, with a terrace at the mouth to look out from. The ticket is paid at the cave and nobody has to go in. Then lunch: grilled trout or chicken at a restaurant by the water, vegetarian on request, drinks paid separately. The drive back brings you to your hotel in the afternoon, about 7 hours after you left it. The price is 33 € per adult and 23 € per child aged 4–10; infants up to 3 travel free. Reserving costs nothing — you pay on the tour day, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before.

Pickup
Pickup from the Alanya belt
The vehicle collects from hotels between Okurcalar in the west and Kargıcak in the east — Avsallar, Türkler, Konaklı, Alanya centre, Oba, Kestel and Mahmutlar in between. Pickups fall in the 08:30–09:30 window; the exact time for your hotel is confirmed the day before and depends on the day's route.
The canyon is east of Alanya, so a hotel in Mahmutlar or Kestel is on the way and a hotel in Okurcalar is collected first and rides longest. Each pickup area has its own page with the operator's hotel directory for that resort.
Your tour day
We do not print a fixed pickup time for your hotel. Yours depends on where you are staying and the day's route; the Alanya tours collect within the 08:30–09:30 window, the Side tour follows its published resort table, and a person confirms your time the day before.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does the 33 € include?
Return hotel transfer from the Alanya belt, the licensed guide, the canyon entrance ticket, lunch at the riverside restaurant and local travel insurance for the day. Drinks, the optional Cüceler Cave ticket, personal expenses and gratuities are not included.
Is the tour on a jeep?
No. This is the classic canyon excursion in an air-conditioned coach or minibus: comfortable on the mountain road, and the adventure is the walkway and the water, not the vehicle. If you want an open jeep, our sister companies run a jeep safari to the Dim River — see the comparison page.
Can we swim, and how cold is the water?
Swimming in the pools beneath the falls is optional and possible when conditions allow, where the guide says it is safe. The water is spring-fed and genuinely cold all year — a few minutes is refreshing for most people, and plenty of guests just paddle.
Is the walk suitable for children and older guests?
For anyone who walks comfortably on steps and uneven ground, yes: the walkway has handrails and is short, and the group stops often. It is not suitable for guests with serious mobility difficulties, and a pushchair cannot be pushed the whole way.
Do I have to pay anything in advance?
No. The reservation is free and no card is asked for. You pay 33 € per adult and 23 € per child aged 4–10 on the tour day, in euros, to the operator. Infants up to 3 are free.
When will I know my pickup time?
The day before. Alanya-belt pickups fall in the 08:30–09:30 window, but the exact minute depends on your hotel's place on the route, so a person confirms it rather than a page guessing.
What happens if it rains heavily?
After heavy rain or in winter conditions access to the canyon can be limited. If the day cannot run we move your date or cancel free of charge — and cancellation is free anyway up to 24 hours before.
