Lunch on the Sapadere Canyon tour: what is on the table

What is served

The menu is the mountain's: grilled trout from the river country, or grilled chicken for those who prefer it, with the sides a Turkish riverside restaurant puts on the table. A vegetarian plate is available on request — say so in the booking notes so the guide can tell the kitchen. It is a sit-down lunch, not a lunch box, and there is time for it.

Portions are generous, the pace is unhurried, and the table is by the water on every version of the day — the sound of the river is part of the meal, and nobody is rushed back to the vehicle.

Where it is served, tour by tour

• Canyon tour from Alanya: at a riverside restaurant after the canyon and the optional cave.
• Canyon and Dim River tour: on the floating platforms built over the Dim River, in the valley east of Alanya, with the current running under the table.
• Tour from Side: at a restaurant in the Alanya region on the way back to the coast.

What you pay for

Drinks — water, soft drinks, tea, anything else — are paid at the table. On the Side departure breakfast at the morning rest stop is also yours to buy. Everything else on the plate is in the tour price.

Children

Children eat what the adults eat, with smaller portions where the kitchen can; the restaurants on these days are used to families. Infants travel free and share.

Allergies and special diets

Tell us in the booking notes. A vegetarian plate is straightforward; other needs are passed to the kitchen through the guide, and we say honestly if something cannot be done. Outside food is not taken into the canyon, so a special diet is best arranged in advance rather than carried.
