Who can join

Who can join the Sapadere Canyon tour — and who should think twice

The day asks three things of you: a mountain road in a vehicle, a short walk on a walkway with steps, and — only if you want it — cold water. Here is who that suits, case by case.

Anyone who walks comfortably on steps

The core of the day is about 750 m of wooden walkway with handrails, steps and uneven sections, walked slowly. If you manage stairs and a cobbled street without trouble, you manage Sapadere. Age is not the measure; steps are.

Wheelchair users

The walkway is not wheelchair accessible: it has steps and narrow uneven sections and we will not pretend otherwise. A wheelchair user in your party can join the day for the drive, the lunch by the river and the company, but not the walkway. Message us before booking and we say honestly what the day would hold.

Serious mobility difficulties

The operator's own record says it plainly: the tour is not suitable for guests with serious walking difficulties. The problem is not distance but steps and footing near the falls. If in doubt, ask us — a person answers, not a form.

Pregnant guests

We do not give medical advice. The facts: a vehicle on a winding mountain road, a short walk with steps, and cold water that is entirely optional. Many pregnant guests take the walk and skip the swim; ask your doctor, tell us in the notes, and decide with the day in front of you.

Back and knee problems

The steps are the thing to weigh, plus the bends of the mountain road. The walk is short and slow, with rests. If stairs at home are fine, the walkway is fine; if they are not, the day may be better spent at the river with lunch than on the walkway.

Babies and toddlers

Infants up to 3 travel free in an adult's arms. A pushchair cannot be pushed the whole walkway; a carrier works. Toddlers walk the easy parts and are carried on the steps. More on the families page.

Non-swimmers

Nobody has to swim. The pools are for those who want cold water; the platforms and the rocks are for everyone else. There is no lifeguard and no marked shallow end, so non-swimmers stay out of the deep basins — which is what most guests do anyway.

Groups

The vehicle takes up to 40 guests and the walkway is walked at the group's pace. For a group of your own — a family, friends, a company — the private tour page takes requests.

Steps are fine? Book the Sapadere Canyon tour. Not sure? Ask a person first.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there an age limit?

No minimum and no maximum age. The walkway's steps are the practical measure for everyone.

Can I join the day but skip the canyon walk?

Yes — tell us when you book. You ride with the group, wait by the vehicle or at the entrance area during the walk, and join lunch by the river.
