How far is Sapadere Canyon from Alanya and the resorts?

From Alanya centre

The canyon lies inland to the east of Alanya, in the Taurus foothills above Sapadere village. Different routes and different starting points on the belt give different figures, which is why we say roughly 40–45 km from the centre rather than one exact number. The canyon tour takes about 7 hours door to door, and that figure — the whole day — is the one that matters for planning.

Near and far along the Alanya belt

The belt runs west to east: Okurcalar, İncekum, Avsallar, Türkler, Konaklı, Alanya centre, Oba, Kestel, Mahmutlar, Kargıcak. Because the canyon lies east of the town, the eastern resorts are the nearest — a hotel in Mahmutlar or Kestel has the shortest drive on the belt — and the western resorts the farthest, with Okurcalar riding longest. We do not print minutes per resort: nobody has measured them for this tour and a guessed number is worse than none.

From the Side coast

About 110 km each way, most of it along the coast road past Alanya before the turn into the hills. That is why the tour from Side is a longer day — about 8 hours — with a comfort stop on the way, and why it runs on fixed days, Wednesdays and Sundays. The pickup begins in Gündoğdu in the west and works east through Çolaklı, Evrenseki, Kumköy and Side to Kızılot; the operator's typical times per resort are on the tour page.

Distance versus day length

Kilometres are only part of the day. The walkway, the falls, the optional cave and lunch by the river take the middle hours regardless of where you started. That is why the tour from Alanya is about 7 hours, the Dim River version about 8, and the Side departure about 8: the road is the difference, the canyon is the constant.
